This is going to be a HUUUUUUUUGE post, complete with details of my life, my schedule for classes, and PICTURES! Zomg, I know, right?
ANYWAY.
HI *waves*
Contrary to popular belief, I do still exist, and haven't fallen off the edge of the world since.. you know... the world is flat and all.
ANYWAY, I'm rambling and that's cool, because I have a lot of energy, though I really am not so sure why, since it was like, almost 100 degrees today. Ridikulus, I know.
So yeah, I'm at school, and let me just tell you this. It's my 14th day here, and already I know it's going to be a HELL of a lot better than last year. For starters, I'm not letting myself fall into the trap of last year. You know, the "I'm going to start dating a boy my 5th day here and only hang out with one group of people so this way, when we break up, I'm like, totally stranded!"
Yeah.
I live in a suite this year with Sarah who lived across the hall from me last year, and "took me in" when some of my "friends" last year left me out in the cold. She's my roommate in the suite and a total doll. I adore her. Cara, who is one of the true friends from last year, also lives in the suite. She is an RA and the president of a sorority I'm thinking of pledging (PS would you respect me any less if I did this? I really want to know what people think). Cara is just, so sweet and caring. Ugh, I love her. And the remaining room in the suite belongs to Kelly and Julie. Both of these girls are soooo nice and bring their own touch to the suite.
In conclusion, omfg, I love college this year.
Here is my schedule for the first semester:
Monday
8:10-9:20 - Humanities I (Think AP Lit)
10:30-11:20 - English 341: The Romantic Hero (Basically reading kickass books)
1:30-2:45 - Anthropology 105: Physical Anthropology (...Yeah. Exactly)
5:00-5:30 - Clarinet Lessons!
Tuesday
2:10-3:25 - Geological Sciences 105: Environmental Science (Because I want to save the world)
3:30-5:00 - Wind Ensemble!
Wednesday
8:10-9:20 - Humanities I
10:30-11:20 - English 341: The Romantic Hero
6:00-8:30 - Sociology 100: Intro to Soc. (2.5 hours?! But somehow, it goes by faster than some other classes)
Thursday
9:10-11:10 - G-Sci 105 Lab!
2:10-3:25 - Geological Sciences 105: Environmental Science
3:30-5:00 - Wind Ensemble!

Yep. That's my schedule. I have to do so much reading, but I'm okay with it. Basically, I won't be bored or have nothing to do. There will always be something! :)

I haven't updated in AGES. You all must hate me. I know I hate me.
It's week 2, and already college is kicking my ass again. That's in terms of like, the amount of reading. I love all of my classes and only one negative thing has happened since I came back. I'll talk about that when I'm not running late for my G-Sci lab!

I'm in Cape Cod, and coming home tomorrow.
And I am sick.
I have severe tonsillitis I do believe, which is nothing new...My tonsils have been outrageously large since 1st grade...
I will spare you the details of my throat's current state... But I was basically incapacitated last night into this early afternoon. That totally sucked because I love the Cape and I only get out here once a year, if that. I hated to not be enjoying every part of my time here.
I have an appointment with an ear/nose/throat doctor on Friday... which could honestly make me or break me. What happens if I need an immediate tonsillectomy? I cannot do that, because I go back to college the next day.
Bad timing to screw me over, tonsils. Bad timing.
In other news, I bought cute sneakers here for $15. :)
I didn't take nearly as many pictures this past week as I wanted to... We'll say that's because of my throat.... I really don't know why I didn't take a lot. I am mad at myself.
Okay. My laptop power is almost out and I'm 2 chapters away from finishing GOF for the 2nd time this summer.... Yeah, I'm crazy, IDC. This was Harry Potter summer.
BTW, it's amazing how many things were touched upon in the earlier books, and then she brought them back full force in DH. I love JK. But then again... don't we all?

My brother and I did a "video shoot" so to say...
And the result is hilarious.
He wanted to sing Hairspray songs, since he wants to be Link Larkin. I did not object.
However, my camera only allowed for 43 seconds of film time because I haven't cleared off the memory card in ages... so it's broken up.. But here are the videos!

Jack didn't know the words... but he combines all of the wonderful *DANCE* moves into 30 seconds. Bless him.
Okay. That's all for now! I'm leaving for Cape Cod, Massachusetts tomorrow for 4 days, so I'll be home on Thursday night. I'm bringing my laptop but I don't think the bed & breakfast we're staying in has internet... so who knows!

This update is for stoney321...I was just mowing the lawn and I walked through an ENORMOUS spiderweb... and it was stuck to my body... and some of it still is.
Needless to say, I've now stopped mowing the lawn and am taking a rather long break while I recuperate.

My younger brother is 10, and loves HP. The kid is scared of all insects and stuff like that.
A moth is flying around our living room and he freaks out and runs around. He starts screaming, "KILL IT, MEG! KILLL ITTTTT!!!!" I go to save the moth from his swinging of a rolled-up magazine, and he goes, "STAND ASIDE, YOU SILLY GIRL! AVADA KEDAVRA!"
We then proceeded to burst out laughing.
That's all. Pointless perhaps, but I felt like sharing with people who would understand why this made me so happy :)

So I saw RENT again today.

In other news, I saw 'High School Musical' for the first time last night. And if possible, my newfound love for Zac Efron that's come about since Hairspray has intensified.

Best day of work EVER in the 3 years I've been there.
Hands down.
The guy I have the biggest infatuation with spent 15 minutes with me working on something.. and when I finished helping him, he said, "Meg, you are amazing" and I melted just a little bit.
I'd show you his picture, but that'd be kind of creepy, esp if by some weird twist of fate, someone he knew came upon my journal. Omg, would I be mortified.
But yeah, omg it was the best way to start off the day.
THEN! Jordan Leeds came into the office to sign his daughter into camp, and he was a big Broadway person, and he was in the original cast of Les Mis... and he went to Usdan... So anyway, I ♥ him.. and he was there and I was talking to him.. and he goes "Great *snaps and winks* Have a great day" and I melted just a little bit more.
THENNNNN! I was doing inventory in the back of the amphitheater for the store, and the OTHER guy I'm smitten with didn't know I was in there and opened the door into my back. OMG it hurt like a mother. He felt soooo bad. He came back in to check on me like, 10 minutes later and said "I cannot believe I did that. I feel awful. I don't want to hurt you again" and then he stared at me with his big, glorious eyes, and I melted, even more than before.
For the rest of the day, everyone was in a straight up dandy mood and there was a ton of laughing and just pure joy. Zach and I mocked the song "Christmas Shoes" ... I don't know why it was in our heads, or how we got to that topic of conversation, but we did.. and then everyone in the office had that song stuck in their head. Oh, the hilarity.
I don't want work to end for the summer tomorrow. I would keep working there forever if I could. I love it so much. It's just, so much fun, and the people are the best and make it so wonderful.
Anyway, I went to the mall with my mom tonight and I bought a bunch of clothes.. and then I went into Claire's randomly. I haven't been into a Claire's in about 2 years, but I felt the urge.
And lo and behold, but what should there be? LINK LARKIN MERCH FROM HAIRSPRAY (the movie, mind you)... SO I went total fangirl and bought 3 Link items: a folder for next year, a lanyard for my keys, and THIS bracelet. Yeah, I'm insane... But hey, WHATEVZ!
This post is far too long. Oopsies. But hey, at least I'm updating :)

I have been lacking on updates. I am sorry.
But I only have 2 more days of work, and then my soul is freeeeeee.
With all due respect, may it please the court, I would like to suck up for my suckiness with HP YouTube videos that I think are of merit.
A Hermione/Snape video... Even though I don't support this ship in any way/shape/form...this is wonderfully done. The editing is perfect.
This, I find, to be hilarious. I think that all fan HP trailers are hilarious, whether they're meant to be funny or not. This one is top notch, imo.
This is old, from 'The Soup' .. about Harry & Ron in GOF. :)

So the car I drive to work every day was in the shop, getting the brakes checked, so I drove my dad's so work.
And on the expressway, white smoke started billowing out from under the hood.
I pulled over and had a conniption on the side of the road, at 7:45am. I called home, my parents called AAA, and a tow truck was said to be there within 45 minutes. Meanwhile, my dad was coming to pick me up.
After I got over the initial shock of the car smelling like a burning pretzel, I did the most Megan thing in the entire world. I pulled a book out of my bag, and started reading, standing on the side of the road.
I then found the entire situation rather comical, because it's such a Megan thing to happen. So I left my house at 7:15 to get to work at 8:15, and instead, got there at 10:45. *cheers!*
After that, my day got considerably better.
And now I am watching the History Boys on my favorite *lightly illegal* website ever. I love this movie incredibly much.
( The History Boys are quite attractive, imo. )
This movie makes me want to go to London. So I think I will. No, forill.

This is the extent of my productivity on a Sunday night. It's currently my laptop wallpaper. It looks much more realistic when it's bigger and the right dimensions. Photobucket just sucks.
Also, Kristine and I are writing A Harry Potter musical, set to Hairspray music. It's going to be HILARITY.
